There really are so many places to begin when you want to create a piece of fiction. Why not try conjuring some characters by using images from this gallery of tomb stone portraits?

Take the challenge and write a story set in the period that these characters lived. Enjoy the intriguing work
of Bulgarian photographer, Svetlana Bahchevanova.

Cesar Santander is a "Photorealist" painter. He uses photographs as sources for his paintings and the paintings themselves look like photographs.

Santander's collection of toy paintings will be sure to restore memories of much loved toys.

On the wings of the black crow comes the spirits of old, treasured, discarded, lost, forgotten, dearly beloved toys who have made a significant contribution to our lives. Their memories live on here, in the Toys Gallery of Glory.

Write about a much loved toy or use these images to kickstart your own toy story.

This Dutch Delft calendar tile is one of a set that depicts seasonal pursuits. Other titles include, December - Collecting Firewood; October - Pressing the Wine; August - Harvesting the fields. Write about Seasonal Pursuits. See Trendle Ellwood's Boiling Sap to massage your imagination or simply be inspired by this group of North Americans who write about the coming of autumn

Alternatively, use these tiles to kickstart a fairy story.
